Sterling Pipe and Tube, Inc. was recently awarded “Supplier of the Year” by A.O. Smith Water Products Company at their Annual Vendor Conference held in Nashville, TN.

Dennis Krout, Vice President of Sales and Administration for Sterling accepted the award on behalf of all the employees at Sterling. “This is a very prestigious award and we are honored to receive it. It is a tribute to everyone at Sterling and our company philosophy of servicing the customer. This is truly a team effort. We are all extremely grateful to A.O. Smith for our selection and will continue our efforts to supply them with the quality and service they need and deserve.”

Sterling supplies A.O. Smith with flue tube which they use in their gas hot water heaters. Sterling had been supplying A.O. Smith with quality flue tube since 1988. A.O. Smith is a leading manufacturer of quality hot water heaters worldwide. Sterling supplies several A.O. Smith plants throughout North American and also for products used in Europe.

Sterling’s selection was based on high quality of their product, on-time delivery, high level of customer service and long standing relationship and partnership with A.O. Smith Water Products.

The awards presentation was originated by Mr. Rick Shuppert, Director of Global Procurement for A.O. Smith and presented to Sterling by Mr. Steve Anderson, Vice President of A.O. Smith Water Products and Mr. Brian Welte, Commodity Manager for all steel purchased by A.O. Smith Water Products.
